The land that land Israel one in Egypt

The land, that land in Hebrew and older languages refers to a city, settlement, etc. which has been formed or conquered from an older culture but has no current name. A name has not been chosen yet, or the city is still going by the ancient name which the name by the “bible” writers was chosen much later. So authors will refer to said places as the location with landmarks around.

That way those that know which city is being talked about will know, and those that do not know do not need to know yet.

Consequently the references in genesis to the land and that land are in Egypt using landmarks as a guide to where they are.

There are several ancient cities/settlements on the western side of the Nile between Giza and Sakkara; the desert have swallowed up most of them. Evidence of those ancient cities depending on the depth of the sand is easy to see. Understanding what culture made those settlements on the other hand is much harder to identify.

The settlements on the west side of the Nile between the above mentioned north and south boarders point strongly to a major city under the sands and partially rebuild millennia latter as a capital for the king of Israel aka Jacob.

Although the land that land also refers to the word Land, which in Sumerian is a reference to the first time a description word, is used the concept/definition of that word is equal throughout. With no dictionaries available; ancient writers had to introduce a word by way of description then use that word with that description throughout. If the definition of the word changed or was used in a different way the definition would have to be brought up and changed to match both definitions with clear but concise examples.

The first 20 times land is used is in reference to specially selected places. From the creation of land, to the area Cain is allowed to settle and start the advance of civilization. Forward to the sacred area just outside the area where Noah’s arc came to rest. Land is defined by way of special people did something which made them special or created something special on the land.
